Firm adapts existing WellBiz logo for
use in promoting employee health and wellness programs as effective
methods for increasing employee productivity, reducing employee
absenteeism and reducing healthcare costs.
October 30, 2007, Toledo, OH…Roemer Insurance
is participating in WellBiz and wants to make sure that everyone
knows it. WellBiz is the new pilot workplace wellness program
sponsored by The Healthy Communities Foundation, Toledo Regional
Chamber of Commerce and Harris HealthTrends. The company, which
currently has 100% employee participation in the three-year program,
hired an artist to create a revised logo that reads: “A
Proud WellBiz Company”. “We plan to promote the WellBiz
program and our involvement in it very aggressively,” said
Rocky Roemer, president and CEO of the Toledo-based insurance
agency.
For Roemer Insurance this is more than just a
promotion. “As insurance and risk management professionals
we are all too well aware of the costs of poor health in the workplace,
whether the workplace is an office like ours or behind the wheel
of a large truck, like many of our clients,” he continued.
According to Roemer, most employers are seeing regular increases
in their health insurance costs. Healthy workers are more productive,
absent less often and are less expensive to insure. “Employers
have got to understand the value in supporting workplace wellness—every
dollar invested in a wellness program is an investment in the
company’s bottom line and in our country’s economy,”
he stated. Roemer Insurance believes being identified as a proud
WellBiz company in its promotional efforts will lead to further
discussion of the benefits of workplace wellness.
Plans for the new logo include placement on its
corporate website, www.roemer-insurance.com, on its small fleet
division website, www.insuremyrig.com and in its sales materials.
Future applications may include T-shirts, ball caps, coffee mugs
and bumper stickers. Roemer Insurance has made the logo artwork
available to the program sponsors and other participants. Rocky
Roemer expects to start seeing the “Proud WellBiz Company”
logo all over town as support for the program continues to build
over time.
Roemer Insurance is in the final stages of reconstruction
of an on-site employee fitness center, scheduled for completion
in early December. The company is also providing employee flu
shots on-site and free of charge and offering flu shots to family
members at a reduced rate. For more information about Roemer Insurance
