ROCKY ROEMER APPOINTED TO ATRI RESEARCH ADVISORY COMMITTEE!

September 12, 2007, Toledo, OH...Rocky Roemer, President and CEO of Toledo-based Roemer Insurance, has been appointed to serve on the Research Advisory Committee (RAC) of the American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI). The RAC is charged with annually recommending a research agenda for the American Transportation Institute. “The ATRI IS renowned for its innovative thinking, critical analysis and uncompromised excellence,” said Mr. Roemer. “It is an honor to serve as part of this committee.”

The American Transportation Research Institute is a well-known leader in transportation-related research. The ATRI is part of the American Trucking Associations (ATA) Federation, which represents over 35,000 motor carriers through the affiliated trucking associations in 50 states. As a result of the ATRI’s prominence within the trucking industry, state and federal agencies turn to the organization for trucking-related research, particularly when industry insight and cooperation is essential to the success of a project.
The Research Advisory Committee is comprised of government officials, independent scientists, labor union officials, academics and trucking company executives and suppliers from a diverse cross-section of the industry, all who understand the importance of sound science to an industry as complex as the trucking industry.
